Mentoring the Creative Community
I have been a mentor with the Ballarat Arts Foundation (BAF) Mentoring Program since 2022 and pleased to be participating again in 2025.
Aimed to encourage and further develop the aspirations and talents of local artists the BAF Mentoring Program offers a structure mentoring partnership allowing those being mentored to gain new skills and increased confidence in their abilities, while mentors can benefit from having the opportunity to share their skills and give back to the community by engaging with talented artists.
BAF’s mentoring programs in recent years have involved over 80 artists. The program has delivered many significant outcomes with participants reporting gaining direction and confidence, a wider network of connections and experiencing deep connections and care as well as personal and professional growth. The 2025 the program will be supported by the Rotary Club of Ballarat.
